Samsung added a fourth model to the Galaxy S25 series on May 13: the Galaxy S25 Edge. It is an ultra-slim phone for people who want a big screen but a thin and lightweight phone. It has the same connectivity features as the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which makes it better than the Galaxy S25.
The Galaxy S25 Edge features 5G (dual-SIM in some regions), GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS), Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, UWB, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. In comparison, the base Galaxy S25 lacks UWB, which helps with accurate detection of object trackers and digital keys (for cars and smart door locks).
The phone does not have an IR blaster or a 3.5mm headphone jack, but those are gone from most modern phones and aren't coming back. Other than those things, the Galaxy S25 Edge is well-specced in terms of connectivity. Samsung hasn't skimmed on connectivity options despite the slim design.
Most of these features are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip. It's the fastest chip that Qualcomm currently has, and it has chart-topping performance. For keeping the beastly chip cool, the Galaxy S25 Edge boasts a thin yet large vapor cooling chamber.
The chip even features Bluetooth 6.0, but most brands have decided not to use Bluetooth 6.0, as there is only one pair of wireless earbuds in the world which has that version of Bluetooth, and it isn't available in most countries worldwide.
