The anticipation for the Galaxy S25 Edge is increasing day by day, and soon, everyone who is looking forward to the ultra-slim phone will have the chance to pick one up. Samsung has reportedly set the Galaxy S25 Edge release date for April. The official announcement will also take place in the same month.
When the Galaxy S25 Edge was first showcased, Samsung told us that it was planning to launch the phone around April 2025 but didn't offer specifics. That was not surprising, as the company didn't even let anyone touch the phone. It still hasn't, in fact, so the first proper hands-on for even the press will happen sometime next month.
The Galaxy S25 Edge will be Samsung's slimmest flagship phone ever, with its thickness measuring just 5.84mm. That's so thin that for the first time since 2019, Samsung is launching a Galaxy S smartphone with just two rear cameras.
Despite the fewer cameras, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be a flagship phone through and through. It will even have the same powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip as the other Galaxy S25 models. We have doubts about how the slim device will handle heat dissipation, though we're also hopeful Samsung has figured out a good solution.
In terms of pricing, the Edge is expected to sit between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. We'll let you know if we learn more about the Galaxy S25 Edge in the coming days, so stay tuned!
