After releasing the Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update to the Galaxy A13, Samsung has now started rolling out the February 2024 security patch to the smartphone, which fixes 72 security issues. The latest update comes with Build Number A135FXXS6DXB1. At the moment, the company is making it available to the international 4G version of the smartphone, which carries the model number SM-A135F. According to the changelog, the update doesn’t offer any bug fixes, performance improvements, or new features.
Your Galaxy A13 should automatically notify you about the latest update. However, if it hasn’t you can check for it manually by going to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the firmware from our database and install it manually using Odin. It is worth mentioning that Samsung might be rolling out the update in phases. So, it will take some time for the new firmware to reach everyone.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A13 with Android 12 (One UI 4.0), and the company is supposed to offer two new versions of the OS to the device, which it already has. That means the brand will not offer Android 15 (One UI 7.0) to the Galaxy A13. However, the phone is supposed to get security updates for five years, which means that the company will offer those till 2027. Currently, the Galaxy A13 is on the Quarterly Security Updates schedule, which means that it will get one security update every three months.
