Last month, Samsung released the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. However, the brand had made it available only in its home country, South Korea. Now, the company has started rolling out the update internationally, and Europe is among the first regions to get it.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5's One UI 8 stable update for Europe is 3,168.76MB in size and carries firmware version F731BXXUF5I9 (via Tarun Vats). You can check it out in the screenshot below. To get the latest firmware, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
One UI 8 brings a new UI design and new features for Now Bar, Now Brief, DeX, Quick Panel, Calendar, Drawing Assist, My Files, Notes, Quick Share, Reminder, Samsung Internet, and Weather. You can check out the complete list of changes here or watch them in action in our video below.
Samsung is also developing One UI 8.5. While it is based on Android 16, just like One UI 8, it brings many new features, which you can check out here. As you might have guessed, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is eligible to get it. The brand will most likely debut it with the Galaxy S26 series in February next year.
