Samsung has announced that it is donating home appliances to the victims of the recent wildfires in South Korea's Gyeongbuk Province.

Samsung has announced that it is donating even more home appliances and electronic devices to the victims of the recent wildfires in South Korea's Gyeongbuk Province. This will help the families who have been affected financially and mentally. The wildfires spread in South Korea on March 21, 2025.
Samsung has donated KRW 1 billion (~$685,000) worth of home appliances, including ACs, refrigerators, washing machines, and TVs to help families affected with the recent wildfires in the Gyeongbuk Province in South Korea. This will help those families regain stability and return to their normal lives faster. These donated appliances will be distributed through Korean Red Cross and the Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
According to the official announcement from the government, 3,441 houses completely burned down, while 486 houses were partially burned down in the area.
Samsung has also set up mobile service centres at evacuation centers in Gyeongbuk Province's Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, and Yeongdeok. They will inspect home appliances and smartphones for free and offer necessary repairs. A special bus with necessary tools was dispatched to the areas affected by the wildfires to clean and repair smartphones.
Samsung Electronics and its eight affiliate firms have donated a total of KRW 3 billion (~$2 million), 1,000 disaster relief kits with daily necessities, and 600 tents to help people in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan.
