World-renowned industrial designer Mauro Porcini has joined Samsung Electronics as the new Chief Design Officer of the DX division.

Last week, the Korean media was the first to report that renowned designer Mauro Porcini might join Samsung Electronics. Today, the Korean tech giant confirmed that it has hired PepsiCo's Mauro Porcini as the new Chief Design Officer (CDO) of the Samsung Device eXperience (DX) division.
By hiring Mauro Porcini, Samsung says it will strengthen its design capabilities across mobile, TV, and home appliance areas. The Samsung DX division consists of the Consumer Electronics (CE) and IT & Mobile (IM) business units.
Designer Mauro Porcini was born in Italy. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial design and began his journey as a product designer at Philips.
Mr. Porcini is renowned for his design innovation. As the CDO of PepsiCo, he earned a reputation for his outstanding leadership of the design teams and for maximizing the brand experience.
