After renaming its web browser from Samsung Internet to Samsung Browser on Galaxy phones and tablets, Samsung has now made the same change on Windows. In addition, Samsung Browser, which had been in beta on Windows for the past five months, is now available as a stable release.

Earlier today, Samsung released version 30.0.0.95 of Samsung Browser for Windows, marking its exit from the beta phase. The browser can now be installed on any computer running Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11. It is also now available globally, whereas it was previously limited to select markets and languages.

Samsung Browser offers seamless cross-device continuity across computers, smartphones, and tablets, along with new agentic AI capabilities. For example, if you open a webpage on Samsung Browser on your Android phone and then switch to your computer, you can continue browsing from where you left off. This requires signing in with the same Samsung account on both devices. The browser also supports syncing bookmarks and browsing history.

It also includes Perplexity integration, bringing agentic AI features. Samsung Browser can understand natural language and help fetch information from the web or compile information from multiple open tabs. For instance, you can ask it to create a four-day travel plan for Seoul, South Korea, based on a website you already have open. The browser will open a split view on the right side to assist with your request.

You can summarize a webpage or translate it to a language you understand. You can also create notes using Samsung Notes integration.

Samsung claims that the browser can even understand context within videos. It can identify specific segments based on your query and jump directly to that part of the video, eliminating the need to manually scrub through it. It can also search your browsing history using natural language queries.
