Last month, Samsung unveiled three new Galaxy A-series smartphones: the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. A day later, the brand launched them in India. While some experts say that the brand has overpriced the three phones, and therefore, not many people will buy these devices, the tech giant seems confident that it will set new sales records with the new Galaxy A series.
Samsung India’s General Manager of MX Business, Akshay Rao, in an interview with Gadgets360, revealed that the brand has sold over 89 million units of the Galaxy A series phones till date, and with the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and the Galaxy A26, the company is expecting to set a milestone of selling 100 million units of the Galaxy A-series devices “very soon.”
When Samsung launched the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 in India, some experts said that the brand had overpriced them, and as a result, not many people would buy these devices. However, Rao reveals that the Galaxy A55 and the Galaxy A35 were the best-selling smartphones in their price segment (INR 35,000 to INR 50,000 and INR 25,000 to INR 35,000, respectively).
So, it looks like Samsung knows people in India better than some experts in the country. Considering the brand's sales history, we think the South Korean tech giant may be able to achieve its target. The Galaxy A56 starts at INR 41,999, the Galaxy A36 starts at INR 32,999, and the Galaxy A256 starts at INR 24,999. You can check the complete features of the three phones here.
