Back in February 2023, Samsung announced the 98-inch Q80C 4K QLED TV in Europe. Last month, the company revealed that it will soon launch this TV in the US as well. The brand opened reservations for the product, which offered people $500 credit that they could use to purchase the TV. While the reservation offer ended on July 2, Samsung has now opened pre-orders for the 98-inch QN80C, and it comes with some exciting offers.
The 98-inch Q80C TV, carrying model number QN98Q80CAFXZA, is priced at $7,999 in the US. However, if you pre-order the TV, you can get it for $6,999. That’s a $1,000 discount on the retail price. You will get the Samsung Q800C soundbar for free, which is priced at $999 but retails around $799 in the country. If you pre-order the TV, Samsung is also offering free delivery and installation. All these offers are valid till July 23, 2023.
Samsung's 98-inch Q80C features a 98-inch QLED VA panel with 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The TV supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which means that it will work flawlessly with Xbox Series X/S and Sony PS5. It has direct backlight as well as full array local dimming. It supports HDR10+ Adaptive, too. However, just like every other TV from Samsung, this one lacks support for Dolby Vision. There is, however, Dolby Atmos support onboard. The TV has a 2.2-channel speaker setup with 40W sound output.
The TV comes with Samsung’s Tizen OS, Samsung DeX, and wireless screen-mirroring options. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, 4x HDMI 2.1 ports, 2x USB Type-A ports, digital optical out, and an Ethernet port. It even features Q-Symphony 3.0, which allows people to connect Samsung soundbars to this TV wirelessly and sync with it.
Samsung is also offering the SolarCell Remote with the TV, which charges itself using solar energy. The TV has a ton of other features, and you can check it on Samsung.com.
