Samsung has started preparing Galaxy phones for the imminent release of the stable One UI 8.0 update. Now, the company has released an update to the PENUP app. It is the official drawing tool from Samsung that is primarily designed for Galaxy devices with the S Pen stylus.
Samsung has released a new 129.7MB update with for the PENUP app, and it now has version 3.9.21.14. The changelog says that the app has a new brush tool and is now compatible with One UI 8.0 (Android 16), which means it will work well with the new version of One UI. However, the stable version of One UI 8 is currently available only on S Pen-equipped devices like the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
So, it is likely that Samsung is preparing to release the stable version of One UI 8.0 update for S Pen-equipped devices like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S10, and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Samsung said that it will start rolling out the stable One UI 8.0 update to older devices this month. The Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Tab S10 series are the first in line to get the update. Other devices will get the update in the coming months.
