On Samsung’s server, new firmware files for the Galaxy A37 and the Galaxy A26, carrying version A376BXXU3BZG1 and A266MUBU9DZF1, respectively, have been spotted. Going by the brand’s firmware version convention for its smartphones, they seem to feature a new version of One UI.
Considering that the two devices are running One UI 8.5, the new firmware files most likely pack One UI 9.0. It suggests that the company has started working on releasing its latest Android skin for its phones and tablets for the Galaxy A37 and the Galaxy A26 (via Mohammed Khatri and Tarun Vats).
While One UI 8.5 is based on Android 16 QPR2, One UI 9.0 is based on Android 17. Along with the under-the-hood improvements that the new version of the OS offers, you get a more customisable Quick Panel, new features for Game Booster, Samsung DeX, and Samsung Notes, and enhancements for many accessibility features. Together, these changes should give the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A26 a fresh lease of life.
Samsung showcased One UI 9.0 for the first time in May, when the brand released its beta version for the Galaxy S26 series. The company is expected to unveil its stable version on its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, which are said to arrive this month, July 22, 2026, to be exact. The tech giant should offer it to older devices soon after. You can watch it in action in our video below.
