The One UI 8 Watch rollout is now complete, have you received the update yet?

The wait for One UI 8 Watch is officially over. Maybe it isn't for every single Watch wearer out there, but starting today, the rollout covers every model released in 2021 and later.

It was a relatively long wait, especially considering how quickly the Galaxy Watch Ultra from 2024 received the update shortly after the 2025 models debuted this past summer. But in the end, even if progress was slow, Samsung kept its promise.

The company confirmed weeks ago that most eligible Watches will receive One UI 8 Watch this year. As it turns out, not “most,” but every eligible model now runs the update. Still, the rollout is slow.

Some regions might get it later than others

The One UI 8 Watch rollout for every Galaxy Watch model began in Korea, and so far, some Watches have also received the firmware in the USA. Even so, in most regions, the update appears to be missing.

Here's a quick timeline showing when the update debuted for each eligible Watch model.

Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024): received One UI 8 Watch in July.

Galaxy Watch 7 (2024): finally joined the party in Korea a few months later, in mid-October.

Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic: started getting the update in mid-November.

Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro: got the update at the beginning of December.

The Galaxy Watch FE got One UI 8 Watch a week later.

Lastly, the Galaxy Watch 4 received One UI 8 Watch today, December 15.

This concludes the beginning of the journey for every Watch model, but as mentioned above, some regions will get the update ahead of others. If you own one of the Galaxy Watches above and still haven't received the update, you'll have to wait for the gradual rollout to reach your device.

The good news is that it could happen any day now, and officially, the wait is over. And it shouldn't matter if your Watch is a standard variant or a Golf/Special edition. They all share the same firmware numbers, so the update should be ready and rolling out on all Galaxy Watches.
