Earlier today, Samsung announced that it is expanding the One UI 8 Beta Program to more phones. After releasing the beta update to the Galaxy S25 series in May, the company announced which Galaxy A, Galaxy S, and Galaxy Z series phones will get the new version of One UI in its beta form.
The update will be released only in four countries, and they are listed below.
The expansion of the beta program will start with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 next week, while the rest of the Galaxy A, Galaxy S, and Galaxy Z series phones will get the beta update in September 2025. The South Korean firm will likely release several beta updates before releasing the stable update in the next few months.
Phones like the ones in the Galaxy S25 series, which received the One UI 8 beta update in May, will get the stable update in September, which is earlier than any other stable version of One UI released in the previous years.
Based on Android 16, One UI 8 brings several new and improved features. It brings a new Quick Share design that makes it easier to understand whether the file is being sent or received. It also brings improved management of alarms, calendar, and reminders. It brings more actions and conditions to Modes and Routines, slightly improved animations and widgets, and more lock screen clock customization options.
