One UI 8 Beta 2 for Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 is out!

Samsung has released the second beta version of One UI 8 to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Here are the changes it offers.

At the start of this month, Samsung opened the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Now, the brand is rolling out the second beta version of the new software to the two phones.

Samsung has released One UI 8 Beta 2 for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. At the moment, it is available in Korea. As you can see in the screenshots below, it carries firmware version ZYI6 (via Tarun Vats). Let's take a look at the changes it offers.

According to the change log, the update brings fixes for four bugs. Below is the official change log (translated from Korean to English).

  • Fixed an issue where the phone would reset while in use
  • Fixed an issue where DeX settings were not maintained when updating from a previous OS to One UI 8
  • Fixed an issue where the Galaxy Watch 7 watch weather app was not updating in real time
  • Fixed an issue where the multi-window would forcefully close while the camera was running in KakaoTalk chat room
