Turning off the flashlight is easier on One UI 8.5 thanks to the Now Bar.
Reading time: 1 minutes
Now Bar, introduced in One UI 7, is a feature that displays information such as live notifications, music, and other activities on the lock screen and the status bar for quick access. But there are still a few things it doesn’t support, even in One UI 8.
Samsung is addressing that with the One UI 8.5 update. One of the new activities supported in One UI 8.5 is the flashlight/torch. When you enable the flashlight, you can turn it off by tapping its card in the Now Bar, both on the lock screen and in the status bar.
It’s possible that Samsung has added more activities to the Now Bar. However, since the settings don’t provide a list of supported activities or live notifications for system apps and functions, it’s hard to say which ones are included. We should know more as we continue testing the leaked One UI 8.5 firmware, so stay tuned.
