Samsung formally opened up the One UI 8.5 beta program yesterday, enabling users in select countries to take its next major update for a spin.
It brings several new features and improvements, including some noteworthy Samsung Health updates that are definitely worth checking out.
Samsung Health gets better with One UI 8.5
Samsung Health already provides a weekly summary of your health and fitness based on your workouts, sleep, and other metrics. In One UI 8.5, Samsung Health will display more detailed summaries which will include data from your medication tracker and mindfulness sessions.
It has always been possible to share workout details on social media but One UI 8.5 takes this Samsung Health feature a bit further. You will be able to mix and match the exercise stats with photos from your workout to create the perfect posts.
One UI 8.5 also makes it possible to start meditations from your Galaxy Watch. You'll be able to start favorite or recommended meditations directly from your wrist, eliminating the need to pick up your phone.
Lastly, you'll be able to check your antioxidant levels at anytime as they can be measured directly on the Galaxy Watch, even if it's not connected to the phone. This feature only works on the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra for now.
If you're interested in trying out the latest software, here's what you need to do to get One UI 8.5 beta. Do check the list of eligible devices to make sure you can download it on your device.
