Samsung’s upcoming OS customisation for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5, which is based on Android 16, leaked last month for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. One of them is a new search bar in the app drawer.
The latest build of One UI 8.5 offers a search bar with a new design in the app drawer (via Tarun Vats). As you can see in the image below, while the previous search bar was wide and adopted the color of the wallpaper, the new search bar is narrower, has a white tint, and floats on top of the app drawer. The change makes the app drawer look more polished and modern.
