Yesterday, the Good Lock moderator on Samsung's official Community forums confirmed that the basic Edge Lighting feature and Edge Lighting+ have a compatibility issue that Samsung will address in One UI 7.0.
At the moment, Edge Lighting stops working whenever users turn on Edge Lighting+. They can't function side-by-side.
Fortunately, this issue “is scheduled to be improved in One UI 7.0,” confirmed the Good Lock moderator on the forums. Once One UI 7 rolls out, users will be able to combine Edge Lighting and Lighting+ effects without running into compatibility problems.
Samsung's early One UI 7.0 official page, published hours ago, states the update is all about improving the user experience with more sophisticated and intuitive features. It's going to look and feel more modern.
The company also talked about Good Lock and One UI 7.0 at SDC 2024 in October and gave us a bit of hope that the platform for “ultimate freedom and personalization” might be coming to more markets once One UI 7 rolls out.
