One of the best gaming monitors you can buy in 2025 is the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF), which the company launched earlier this year for $1,299.
The Odyssey OLED G8 packs clever technologies and premium specs, and needless to say, it is not cheap. However, the G8 just got cheaper thanks to a Discover Samsung Summer Sale deal.
You can now save $250 on the Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF) and receive up to 3% back in Samsung Rewards Points. You can pay $1,049 through a one-time payment, choose a 24-month Samsung Financing plan, or pay in four $262.50 biweekly installments.
As far as specifications and build go, the Odyssey OLED G8 won't disappoint. It is one of the best 16:9 flat gaming monitors you can buy in 2025 and boasts a slim metal design with CoreSync and CoreLighting features.
The Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF) has a 27-inch QD-OLED 4K screen with a refresh rate of 240Hz and a 0.03ms response time. And if you worry about burn-in, Samsung says that the monitor's Safeguard+ Dynamic Cooling System dissipates heat five times faster than graphite.
The clever anti-burn-in system also automatically detects logos and taskbars and automatically reduces brightness on static images. Plus, the Thermal Modulation System uses clever algorithms to automatically control brightness and prevent overheating.
This Samsung monitor also boasts a glare-free treatment that makes the screen 54% less glossy than conventional anti-reflection films.
Other notable specs include VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro variable refresh rate, 99% DCI coverage, factory calibration, and Auto Source Switch+.
The Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF) is equipped with a USB Type-B (upstream) port, a USB Type-A (downstream) port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm headphone port.
This is a limited-time deal, but if the Odyssey OLED G8 is not your cup of tea even at $250 off, you can check out one of Samsung's other monitor offers.
