Samsung’s One UI 7.0 (Android 15) for Galaxy smartphones introduced Now Bar, a feature that can show status of ongoing activities, such as sports score, stopwatch, and timer, at the top of the screen while you are using the device, as well as in the notification panel and on the lock screen, allowing you to keep a tab on these activities without any hassle.
Currently, Now Bar can show status of ongoing activities (notifications) mainly from Samsung’s apps, and in the near future, it will support notifications from fifteen more apps (most likely third-party ones). Well, before that happens, Now Bar on Android 16-based One UI 8.0 has gained support for Google Finance to show status of stocks in real time. Let’s take a look.
On X, That Josh Guy reports that Now Bar in One UI 8.0 has gained support for Google Finance, as you can see in the screenshot below. With that, it can show status of “selected” stocks in real-time. This will be a very useful tool for people making a living on the stock market.
We haven’t received this feature on our Galaxy S25 running One UI 8 yet. So, it looks like Samsung is offering this feature as a server side change. At the moment, there’s no information about when the South Korean tech giant will release the feature to the public and if it will be available on One UI 7.
