To get the update, open Good Lock, go to the Plugins, find QuickStar, and tap on the update icon beside the app’s listing. There’s another way to update it. Go to Galaxy Store, tap on the hamburger menu in the top-left corner of the screen, select Updates, and tap on the Update all button at the top-right corner of the display.

In January this year, Samsung announced new features for many Good Lock modules as a part of upgrading them for One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). QuickStar was one of them. The new features included the ability to let people set a background image for every quick setting toggle, edit the quick settings panel in landscape mode, and change the orientation of the toggles.

Samsung said that it will offer these upgrades when it releases the stable version of One UI 8.5. Last month, the brand debuted it with the Galaxy S26 series. With that, the next QuickStar update was expected to bring the previously announced features. Since then, this is the first QuickStar update, and unfortunately, it doesn’t bring those features.
