New LockStar update brings changes for One UI 8.0, One UI 8.5

Samsung is rolling out an update to Good Lock's LockStar module. It brings three changes for One UI 8.5 and two for One UI 8.0.

Good Lock’s LockStar module is getting a new update. Carrying version 8.5.00.10, it brings three changes for Galaxy smartphones running on One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) and two changes for those running on One UI 8.0 (Android 16). You can check out the official changelog below.

Changes for One UI 8.5

– Adjusted manual brightness range for Full screen AOD

– Added ‘Swirl' type to Unlock animation

– Improved status bar visibility in Unlock animation edit screen

Changes for One UI 8.0

– Adjusted AOD brightness for ‘Add text' items

– Fixed missing manual brightness option on non-Full screen AOD devices

To update LockStar, open Galaxy Store, tap on the hamburger menu icon on the top-left corner of the screen, select Updates, and tap on the Update all button.

Recently, Samsung announced new features for five Good Lock modules — LockStar, QuickStar, HomeUp, Theme Park, and Game Booster+ — as part of upgrading them for One UI 8.5. Hopefully, the brand will update other Good Lock modules with new features before releasing the stable version of One UI 8.5 to eligible Galaxy smartphones.
