In November 2025, Galaxy Club claimed that Samsung is developing a new Galaxy A series smartphone called the Galaxy A27. Since then, we hadn’t heard anything about the device for a long time. There were no leaks or rumours about it, raising questions over its existence, and suggesting that Samsung may have paused the work on it or canceled the device. Well, that’s changing today.
On X, Erencan Yilmaz has posted images that mention the Galaxy A27 5G and model numbers of its two variants (SM-A276B and SM-A276U). Going by Samsung’s model number convention, the former is the phone’s international variant and the latter is the US carrier-locked version. The pictures seem to be screenshots from the IMEI database.
The listing of the Galaxy A27 5G on the IMEI database suggests that the phone exists, and Samsung may launch it internationally as well as in the US. Sadly, it doesn’t reveal the device’s features and specifications.
There haven’t been any leaks about the Galaxy A27 that shed light on what it will offer. Hopefully, we will get to know more as the brand starts getting it certified from various authorities and benchmarking it on various platforms.
