Don't hope for a foldable-specific browser just yet. This might be a fluke.

Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 for release. The company teased the next Unpacked event and foldable phones earlier this week, and there is no turning back. The only things missing now are an official launch date and location.
Oddly enough, in all this commotion leading up to the launch event, Samsung appears to have spilled the beans on the next-gen foldable phones in an unusual way. The company uploaded a “for Fold7 and Flip7” Samsung Internet Browser version to the Galaxy Store (via GalaxyClub).
Here's the short version. Samsung's Galaxy Store contains two new entries for the Samsung Internet Browser app.
You can view these entries on your desktop browser by hitting the links above.
Does this mean the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will use a special version of Samsung Internet Browser? It is possible but unlikely.
The fact of the matter is these two Samsung Internet versions are virtually identical, at least at the time of this writing. They are version 28.0.2.43 and weigh 171.11 MB. They are listed under different names and were uploaded to the Galaxy Store two days apart. But they are, in essence, the same Internet Browser.
Given these similarities, the only things these Samsung Internet Galaxy Store entries seemingly confirm are the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 names and the fact that the upcoming phones will indeed run the Android 16-based One UI 8 software.
Why did Samsung add this foldable-specific Samsung Internet version to the Galaxy Store? It's anyone's guess. This unusual entry could eventually disappear from the Galaxy Store. There's also the possibility that this version “for Fold7 and Flip7” is a placeholder Store entry that Samsung could replace with a special Internet Browser for the next-gen foldable phones later.
All we know is that, as of this writing, the mysterious Internet Browser version for the 7th-gen foldables is identical to the version for One UI 8 beta. Exactly where this will lead us is to be determined. We'll keep you posted if necessary.
