Massive Samsung TV Plus update brings smarter, sleeker, more personalized UI

Samsung TV Plus just got one of its biggest makeovers, and it's smarter, sleeker, and more personal than ever. Samsung is rolling out the update to its TV Plus platform right now, bringing easier navigation, a stunning new design, AI-powered recommendations, and more.

A few months ago, Samsung committed to maintaining its leadership in the FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) market. The company hinted at new changes coming in 2025 but didn't reveal many details. Now it's become clear that the latest massive UI update was part of the plan all along.

According to Senior Vice President and Global Head of Samsung TV Plus, “this is [Samsung's] smartest and most visually stunning update yet.” The upgraded experience enables a “highly intuitive and personalized experience” through five key features.

Immersive Browsing Experience: The updated Samsung TV Plus simplifies navigation with a new design and interface that includes rich metadata and high-quality imagery.

Personalized Home Screen: Samsung TV Plus now has an all-new home screen that learns from your viewing and engagement habits to adapt to your preferences.

Linear-to-VOD Integration: The new Samsung TV Plus update lets you seamlessly switch between on-demand and linear programming.

Live Events Spotlight: Live content is now easier to discover.

Enhanced Discovery Engine: Through machine learning, the new discovery engine better understands your tastes and creates curated suggestions.

It must be noted that the Enhanced Discovery Engine feature is available only on select 2025 TV models. Samsung didn't specify which.

However, all the other new features listed above should roll out to all TVs and smart devices that support Samsung TV Plus. If you haven't received the update yet, expect it soon.
