Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar but never quite got around to it? You can now do so from the comfort of your home if you have a Samsung TV. The company has partnered with the world’s leading guitar brand, Fender, to bring an app that can help you learn to play the guitar, bass, and even the ukulele.

Samsung is bringing the Fender Play app to its TVs this year. The app supports four instruments: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, and ukulele. It offers a series of interactive, step-by-step video lessons built around familiar songs, making learning both engaging and accessible.

There is also a Jam Mode, which lets you choose a fun background and play along with curated music tracks for an immersive experience. It could have some free lessons and you may be required to pay for the rest, but Samsung hasn't offered enough information about it yet.

Samsung showcased a live demonstration of the Fender Play app on its new TVs at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas last week. The app will first be available on Samsung’s 2026 lineup of smart TVs. It will also roll out to select older models through a software update.

Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung's Visual Display (VD) Business, said, “With video-based lessons on Samsung TVs, learning an instrument fits naturally into daily life and helps players reach goals faster. By bringing Fender Play to TVs for the first time, Samsung is turning the largest screen at home into a place to learn and play together.
