Latest Good Lock LockStar update brings new features

Samsung is rolling out an update to Good Lock's LockStar module. It brings one new feature and two improvements.

Samsung is rolling out an update to Good Lock's LockStar module. Carrying version 8.5.00.10, the latest update brings a new feature and two improvements for devices running on One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2), which, at the moment, are Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Starting with the new feature, the new LockStar update brings a new screen unlock animation, called Swirl. As the name suggests, with this option selected, when you unlock the phone, first the lockscreen swirls and then the homescreen appears, as you can see in the GIF below (via Tarun Vats).

As for improvements, Samsung says that with this LockStar update, it has “Adjusted manual brightness range for Full screer AOD” and “Improved status bar visibility in Unlock animation edit screen.”
