One would have expected that the addition of this new material will make the Galaxy S24 very durable. So it doesn't come as a surprise to see that the new flagship from Samsung is impressively durable.
YouTuber JerryRigEverything is back with a new durability test with the Galaxy S24 Ultra being suggested to his (ab)use. The device holds up very well, showcasing the improved durability provided by the changes Samsung has made to the device.
While the company hasn't confirmed what grade of Titanium it's using for the Galaxy S24 Ultra's frame, it does lend additional structural integrity to the device. There's minimal flex even when considerable force is applied from the front and back.
Many would have been curious to see how the new Gorilla Glass Armor on the front of the Galaxy S24 Ultra holds up to scratches. It only starts scratching at a level 7 on the hardness scale with deeper grooves at level 8. This is a major improvement over the previous model. Even the in-display fingerprint sensor continues to work flawlessly after it's been scratched.
The flat display remains unfazed even when the lighter is held up against it while the camera cutouts are great at keeping scratches at bay as well. It goes without saying that if you spend top dollar on this phone, it's going to provide you with exceptional durability.
