Samsung has big but understandable AI ambitions. The company beat Apple to the market with Galaxy AI, so it's no wonder that it wants to keep the momentum going. This ambition goes beyond mobile devices, and in three years, Samsung aims to bring AI to nearly a billion homes.
Samsung unveiled its AI Home vision at IFA 2025 in Berlin, and one of the most impressive parts of its strategy is that it aims for 1 billion Samsung AI devices to “spread across households around the world” within the next three years (via The Korea Herald).
How will Samsung achieve this ambitious goal? In short, the company believes that intuitive AI is the key.
Samsung's AI Home strategy revolves around the Ambient AI idea. Okay, so the company has several AI-related buzzwords, but what do they mean?
Ambient AI is a blanket term that describes Samsung AI's ability to monitor the user's environment and adapt accordingly. Ambient AI monitors and adjusts things such as temperature, lighting, and sound in the user's home.
Samsung aims to create a seamless AI-based experience for smart home users. Through this strategy, the company believes its AI solutions will spread to one billion devices across households worldwide within the next three years.

Apart from its one billion AI strategy, Samsung also aims to bring Galaxy AI to roughly 400 million mobile devices before the end of 2025.
