Yesterday, Samsung unveiled the brand’s first smartphone with a tri-folding display. However, the company didn’t reveal any details about the device, including its name, features, availability, or price. It also showcased the phone in a glass showcase box to prevent people from knowing more about it. Well, as it turns out, people managed to gauge the thickness of the phone and how noticeable the creases on the display were.

KED, in its report about the Galaxy Z TriFold launch, says that Samsung’s first tri-folding phone appeared to have a thickness of about 4.2mm when opened and 12mm to 15mm when closed. In comparison, the only other phone with a tri-folding display on the market, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, has a thickness of 4.8mm when opened and 12.8mm when closed. As for creases on the display, visitors said that they were “barely noticeable.

According to multiple sources, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z TriFold by the end of 2025. That includes the mention of the phone in the Google app. The brand is said to make the phone available to purchase in five regions: China, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and the UAE. Unfortunately, it may not launch the phone in the US.

Currently, there’s no information about the Galaxy Z TriFold’s other hardware aspects and price. Hopefully, we will get to know those details in the coming weeks.
