Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which was the brand’s flagship smartwatch. This year, the company launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025). It offers 64GB of storage instead of 32GB on the previous model, and that’s the only hardware improvement it brought.
You can think of the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) as a slightly improved version of the Galaxy Watch Ultra instead of a true successor. The true successor to the Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to be the Watch Ultra 2, and now, we have some information about when it may be arriving.
GalaxyClub claims that Samsung is developing a smartwatch based on the Galaxy Watch 9, and the brand internally calls it the Watch 9 Ultra. According to the publication, the company may launch it as the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 in the summer of 2026.
