One UI 8.5 is Samsung's next major firmware update that's due to arrive in a few months. The beta program was launched a few weeks ago and there has already been a lot of coverage about the many new features it brings.

There are also some hidden One UI 8.5 features that you may not have heard about, so you should definitely check out the latest video our colleagues at SamMobile TV have just posted.

We've had the One UI 8.5 update running on the Galaxy S25 Ultra for a couple of months now. In all this time of using the update we've found some hidden stuff.

Edge panels have been around for quite some time, but with One UI 8.5, you can properly utilize them in landscape mode as well. The video contains steps you can follow to enable this feature on One UI 8.5.

Another hidden feature is the ability to remove some clutter from the camera interface through Camera Assistant. This can be done for both the photo and video modes, enabling you to disable the indicators that sit at the top.

For those who like to customize their lock screen, there's now the ability to add a little gradient which extends from the top to bottom, giving it a nice little effect.
