What's the point in taking these things so seriously?

Platforms like X have become an echo chamber for “leakers” who share rumors and speculation about upcoming devices. It sometimes feels that they like the sound of their own voice a bit too much or tend to get too offended when another leaker presents a conflicting narrative.
There's been a disagreement brewing over the Galaxy S26 Ultra's camera setup. Some claim that it's going to deliver an upgrade while others deny that, claiming that it's going to be a downgrade instead. The claws are out, so it's time for you to grab your popcorn and enjoy the show.
Prolific X leaker UniverseIce has maintained that the Galaxy S26 Ultra's camera will deliver a downgrade. Calling others who claim that the Galaxy S26 Ultra's camera gets an upgrade “scammers” and purveyors of “misinformation,” the leaker reiterates that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a 10-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto sensor with 3x zoom.
Other leakers insist that the upgrade will come in the form of a 12-megapixel sensor in the 3x telephoto lens. Ice feels that the smaller sensor will even be a downgrade compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The use of some choice words in making this point through the X post suggests a desire to be seen as the more accurate source of information.
Some other leaker is bound to clap back at some point which will make for good fun for those who don't take these things seriously. Whatever Samsung has decided will become more clear closer to the launch, so there's really no point in sweating these things. Sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the entertainment.
