Google is updating Circle to Search for Android with the ability to show the history of songs it recognised.
Reading time: 2 minutes
Google’s Circle to Search for Android, apart from telling you about the content you’ve drawn a circle around, can also recognise songs playing around you. Well, the brand is updating the feature with the ability to show history of songs you’ve searched with it.
When you summon Circle to Search and tap on the music icon to make it recognise songs playing around you, you will now see a history/clock icon at the top-right corner of the screen. Once you tap it, it will show you ‘Recent song searches’ (via 9To5Google).
It shows you the last ten songs that you have searched with the feature, along with their artwork and artist, as well as the day and time you searched for it. All the results are grouped by month. If you tap on any of the search results, it will take you to Google Search results for it.
As you scroll down to the bottom, you will see ‘Show full history’ button. Selecting it will take you to Google’s My Activity page, which shows previous search result but without the album artwork. According to 9To5Google, the feature is live in the beta and stable channels with version 16.27.
