The stable Android 14 update could launch tomorrow, coinciding with the Pixel launch event. This information was revealed by Canadian carrier Telus (via Droid Life). The company listed that Android U (14) would be released to all Pixel phones on October 4, 2023. However, after getting attention from the media, the carrier removed that information. So, this isn't an official announcement yet, but it all seems confirmed and makes sense.
Google is launching the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones tomorrow during its event. It will also launch the Pixel Watch 2 and some new colors for the Pixel Buds Pro. The Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro feature brighter OLED screens, with the former reaching up to 2,000 nits and the latter touching the 2,400 nits mark. They also feature the new Tensor G3 processor, improved cameras, and up to 7 years of software update support.
It was predicted by some that Samsung could launch the stable version of One UI 6.0 on the same day or week as Google. However, tipster Ice Universe has claimed that Samsung is planning to release the stable One UI 6.0 update by the end of October 2023. For reference, the South Korean firm has already released five One UI 6.0 beta updates to the Galaxy S23 series, and after one more beta release, the company might release the stable update to its current-generation Galaxy S series phones.
