Samsung is a pioneer in advanced display technologies. Last year, the company launched its first glasses-free 3D gaming monitor and the world’s first 500Hz OLED gaming monitor. At the recently held Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2026 Festival of Gaming expo, game developers praised Samsung’s latest display technologies.
At the GDC 2026 Festival of Gaming, held from March 9 to March 13 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Samsung showcased its latest Odyssey gaming monitors at the Samsung Odyssey Gaming Lounge, part of the company’s booth. The lineup included the 27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF), the 32-inch Odyssey G8 6K (G80HS), and the 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H). Senior executives from leading game development studios and publishers praised Samsung’s new technologies.

Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Creative Director at Rogue Factor, said Samsung understands the needs of game developers, which is something hardware companies often overlook. Rogue Factor is the developer of the upcoming game Hell Is Us, which supports 3D visuals.
Jakub Knapik, VP of Art and Global Art Director at CD Projekt RED, said Samsung’s HDR10+ technology represents a major milestone in color reproduction and is something the gaming industry has been waiting for. CD Projeck RED developed the world renowned game Cyberpunk 2077. This game supports HDR10+ GAMING on supported hardware and monitors or TVs.
The Odyssey 3D delivers 4K 3D visuals without the need for glasses. Samsung already supports over 60 gaming titles in 3D for the monitor and is on track to expand that number to more than 120 by the end of 2026.
HDR10+ Gaming, which Samsung developed specifically for video games, is designed to deliver automatic brightness, contrast, and color calibration. It also supports dynamic HDR metadata processing, low latency, and variable refresh rate on compatible games and hardware.
A panel of senior gaming industry executives joined Kevin Lee, Samsung’s EVP of Customer Experience, to discuss 3D and HDR10+ Gaming. The participants included:
