Samsung's first tri-fold phone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, is already out in one market. The company will gradually make it available elsewhere.
The Galaxy Z TriFold has been launched in South Korea first, and with good reason, as it's Samsung's home turf. People seem to like the phone as it was sold out very quickly when it launched last week. Fortunately for them, the device is back in stock.
Korean media is reporting that Samsung has restocked the Galaxy Z TriFold after it was sold out on its December 12 launch day. As of this morning, customers in South Korea can buy the Galaxy Z TriFold both online and through Samsung's retail stores in the country.
Now it's unclear what the initial supply volume was. A phone with 1000 units being made available can sell out the same as one where 10,000 units are made available on launch day. Either way, it makes for good headlines.
Nevertheless, Samsung's first tri-fold phone saw considerable interest from customers in the country. It sold out fairly quickly at launch, particularly at the retail stores. The Galaxy Z TriFold was available at 20 Samsung stores nationwide where it was sold out almost immediately. People had lined up outside these stores to get their hands on the unit.
Samsung will gradually make the Galaxy Z TriFold available in other markets across the globe. These include the United States, the United Arab Emirates, China, Taiwan, and Singapore. No European markets are on the launch calendar as yet.
