Yesterday, Samsung started rolling out the March 2025 security patch to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Now, the South Korean tech giant has started releasing the same software update to its other foldable from 2024, the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
The new security patch brings fixes for many security issues. However, it is currently available only for the Korean variant of the device. It has the model number SM-F946N. The update carries firmware version F946NKSS5DYBD.
If you live in any other region, you might have to wait a little more to get the update. For those who stay in Korea can get the update by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. They can also download it from here.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is eligible to get Android 15-based One UI 7.0. Samsung should have rolled it out by the end of last year. Unfortunately, the company is running months late. What’s even worse is that there is still no official word on it.
It is worth mentioning that earlier today, Samsung released One UI 7 beta to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Considering that, we think the brand will offer the new software to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 soon.
