Samsung has released the stable version of One UI 8.0 (Android 16) to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

According to Samsung’s One UI 8.0 (Android 16) rollout schedule for Korea, the brand will offer the stable version of the new software to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in October. However, the company has offered it to a few devices sooner than it had promised, and Galaxy Z lineup from 2023 are now a part of that. That’s right.
Samsung has released the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. At the moment, the update is live in Korea and is available for people who had enrolled in the beta program. It is 423.12MB in size and carries firmware version F946NKSU5FYI8, as you can see in the screenshot below (via Samsung’s Community forum).
One UI 8 brings a new UI as well as a ton of new features. You can read about them here or check it out in our video below. To get the update, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once Samsung releases the update internationally, we will make it available in our database for you to download.
According to Samsung, it will expand the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 to Brazil and India in October and November respectively. However, considering that the brand is running ahead of schedule in Korea, we expect it to offer the update in other regions sooner than it has promised.
