Samsung has released (via Yash Agarwal) the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in India. It is a major update with a download size of around 3.1GB and has firmware version F936BXXU6FXE3. The new update doesn't bring the May 2024 security patch that was released to the Galaxy S24 series a few days ago.
If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 4 and live in India, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually. Make sure to back up all your important data before installing the update.
The One UI 6.1 update brings Circle to Search to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Other new features include AI recommendations for editing images, more accurate image clipping, copying an object from one image and pasting it to another, and improved search in the Gallery app. You can change the video playback speed and edit videos on multiple devices.
There are more options to customize the wallpaper. There are more lock screen widgets and more font options for the lock screen clock widget. You can customize stickers and alarm alerts. The Calendar app has revamped settings, while the Reminders app has the ability to change category icons. You can reorder Modes, set new Routines conditions, and turn off/on Modes from the home screen.
You can see all these features in action in our video below. The story continues after the video.
Samsung has introduced the new Quick Share feature with One UI 6.1. The new Samsung Find app can be used to find your Samsung devices or share your location with your friends and family members. You can sync tabs groups from the Samsung Internet browser on other Samsung devices signed in with the same Samsung Account.
