Samsung has released a software update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It brings the March 2025 security patch and comes ahead of the One UI 7 release.

Earlier today, Samsung announced the date on which it is going to start rolling out the stable version of Android 15-based One UI 7.0. One of the devices eligible for the update is the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Well, before offering that update, the South Korean tech giant has started rolling out the March 2025 security patch to the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The latest security update fixes many security issues. You can check them out here. Currently, Samsung is rolling it out to the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s international variant as well as carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked variants for the United States, which have model numbers SM-F926B, SM-F926U, and SM-F926U1 respectively.
The new update carries firmware version F926BXXSBIYB3 (for the international variant), F926USQSAJYB3 (for the carrier-locked variant for the US), and F926U1UESAJYB3 (for carrier-unlocked variant for the US). You can get it by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also get it from our firmware section.
Samsung is going to roll out One UI 7.0 to eligible devices starting from 7 April 2025. The South Korean tech giant will first roll it out to high-end and new devices and then to more affordable and older devices. Expect it to hit your Galaxy Z Fold 3 by the end of the next month.
