Samsung has released new software updates for its latest widely available foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Both devices have started receiving the March 2026 security patch in South Korea. Earlier today, the update was also released for the Galaxy S25 series.
The new update for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 comes with firmware version F766NKSS8AZC1, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 update carries firmware version F966NKSS8AZC1. Both updates have download sizes of over 500MB (via Tarun Vats) and include only the March 2026 security patch, which fixes 65 vulnerabilities. They do not bring any new features or performance improvements.
If you are in South Korea and own either of these phones, you can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap Install now to begin the installation. The phone will restart during the process, which may take a few minutes.
The update is expected to roll out to other countries over the next few days. Meanwhile, the stable One UI 8.5 update, which many users have been waiting for, is likely to be released for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the coming weeks. It is expected to bring several new features and UI design changes. Samsung recently opened the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for those phones.
