Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 get a new Samsung DeX feature via update

The new feature is currently available in South Korea and could be released in other countries soon.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 have received a new software update, and it brings two new features to these foldable phones. One feature is related to the Now Bar, while the other is related to Samsung DeX. Let us find out what those new features are.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 get DeX widgets and Now Bar stocks features

Samsung has released (via @tarunvats33) a new software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in South Korea. Besides the September 2025 security patch, it brings Google Finance integration for the Now Bar and the ability to add widgets on the home screen in the Samsung DeX mode.

The update comes with firmware version F766NKSU4AYI1 for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and F966NKSU4AYI1 for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Both have download sizes of over 700MB.

Now Bar Google Finance: If you have added a stock price to your Google Finance and if goes through a major price change, it will show up on the Now Bar.

Samsung DeX home screen widgets: You can now add widgets to the home screen in the Samsung DeX mode. This will make it easier for you to see important data without opening an app. You can add informative widgets like calendar and clock and decorative things like images.

This update could soon be released in other countries. To check for the update on your Galaxy Z Flip 7 or Galaxy Z Fold 7, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the update is finished downloading, tap the Install now button to install it. The phone will then restart after a few minutes.
