If there's one upgrade that was desperately needed on Samsung's clamshell foldable, it was a larger cover display. Samsung's seen that wish and raised us one more by also equipping the device with a larger internal foldable screen.

Meaningful improvements have also been made to the quality of the displays to deliver an enhanced user experience overall. Let's dive into the details of what's changed compared to the outgoing model.

These are two of the Galaxy Z Flip 7's biggest selling points

At 4.1-inch, the Galaxy Z Flip 7's Flex Window Super AMOLED 1048 x 948 pixel resolution display is the larger cover screen yet on a device in this series. It's a welcome upgrade over last year's 3.4-inch panel which was in desperate need of a change. Not just that, it's also the first cover display on this series to support 120Hz refresh rate.

The internal foldable display is now a 6.9-inch FHD+ resolution Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with 2520 x 1080 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It's marginally bigger than the Galaxy Z Flip 6's 6.7-inch panel.

Samsung has kicked the brightness up a notch as well. Both the cover display and foldable display can hit a peak brightness of 2,600 nits for enhanced visibility. The Flex Window is also equipped with Vision Booster which further enhances outdoor visibility, particularly under direct sunlight.
