Samsung's latest clamshell foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, has a 4,000mAh battery capacity. While the phone offers one of the best battery backups in the segment, the battery capacity is one of the smallest among its rivals. Well, the tech giant is going to fix that with its successor, the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
According to our friends at Galaxy Club, Samsung's next flagship clamshell foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, will have two batteries with a rated capacity of 2,985mAh (EB-BF767ABY) and 1,189mAh (EB-BF766ABY). That will make up for a total rated capacity of 4,174mAh and a total typical capacity of 4,300mAh.
In comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s two batteries have a combined rated capacity of 3,887mAh and a typical capacity of 4,000mAh. It means that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a 7.5% higher battery capacity than the existing model.
Leaks claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It is more efficient than the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. A larger battery and a more efficient processor should result in a significantly longer battery backup.
According to a leak, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will offer a larger inner and outer display compared to its predecessor. The main display will measure 6.85 inches and the cover screen will measure 4 inches diagonally. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 6.7-inch inner and 3.7-inch outer displays.
A couple of days ago, a leak revealed the Galaxy Z Flip 7's design. While it is the same as the current model, it isn't a bad thing. That's because the Galaxy Z Flip 6 already looks amazing. Rumors also suggest that Samsung will offer the Galaxy Z Flip 7 for the same price as the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
