Second Galaxy Z Flip 6 software update enhances its security

The Galaxy Z Flip 6, Samsung's latest foldable flip phone, is getting a new software update this week. This is the second update for the Flip 6 and comes just two weeks after the first one.

The latest Galaxy Z Flip 6 update, which you can identify by the build number F741USQS1AXHC, focuses on enhancing security. It's a ~430 MB download and packs the September 2024 security patch. The update doesn't bring any other changes.

The rollout of the September 2024 update for the Flip 6 started in the USA. Many other markets will likely receive the update before the week is over. That's unless Samsung gets busy with the One UI 6.1.1 rollout for flagship Galaxy devices launched before the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

You will be automatically notified on the phone once the update is available in your region. You can also manually check for new updates by opening the phone's Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping the Download and install option.
