Samsung has released the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in India. It was released in other countries, including South Korea and the USA, last week. You can read more about One UI 7 here and about the phone here. It is the last major Android and One UI update for the phone that was launched in 2021.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will only get security updates in the future.
The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is rolling out with firmware version F711BXXUCJYD9 to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in India. It has a download size of around 3.5GB and includes the April 2025 security patch, which makes the phone more secure. The update brings several new features, a new UI design, and improved animations and transitions.
If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 3 and if you live in India, you can check for the One UI 7 update on your phone. To do that, head over to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 was launched with Android 11 and One UI 3.1.1 onboard in the second half of 2021. It received the Android 12 (One UI 4.0) update in late 2021, the Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update in late 2022, and the Android 13 (One UI 6.0) update in late 2023.
Since it is rumored that Samsung won't release the One UI 7.1 or One UI 7.1.1 update this year and jump straight to One UI 8, the Galaxy Z Flip 3's One UI upgrades end with One UI 7.0. In the future, the foldable phone might only get security updates and bug fixes.
As a Galaxy Z Flip 3 user, you should consider upgrading to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which was launched last year with Android 14 (One UI 6.1.1) onboard. Samsung has promised to release seven major Android OS updates to the phone. So, you would be good until Android 21 (in the year 2031).
