Last month, Samsung updated the Galaxy Z Flip 3 with the much-awaited Android 15-based One UI 7.0. As that update came out in April, it packed the April 2025 security patch. Now, almost a month later, the South Korean tech giant has released another update to the phone. It offers the May 2025 security patch to the device, which fixes security issues mentioned here.
Currently, Samsung is offering it to the international variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in European countries, including Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. The update has firmware version F711BXXSDJYE2.
To get this update, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. We have made the firmware available in our database for you to download and install manually. We expect Samsung to release the May 2025 security patch available to remaining variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and in other regions in the next few days.
Speaking of which, Samsung is developing Android 16-based One UI 8.0. Unfortunately, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is not eligible to get it. If that’s making you think of going for a new clamshell foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be a great upgrade for you. However, if you wait for a few months, you can get Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7.
