As the world’s first device to run the Android XR operating system, the Galaxy XR offers a fascinating glimpse into the platform's future. It comes pre-installed with apps and services from both Google and Samsung. If you are curious about which Samsung apps are available on the headset, we now have a list for you.
Similar to how Google and Samsung co-developed Wear OS 3, Android XR also seems like it has equal contributions from both those firms. The Galaxy XR has long list of apps pre-installed, and for some capabilities, it has options from both Google and Samsung. You can find the list of all Samsung apps on the headset below.
The headset clearly runs a One UI version of Android XR. This is evident from the Quick Panel, notifications, and the Settings app, all of which are designed by Samsung. The XR headset also has a similar number of Google apps, which are listed below.
Samsung also has the PC Link service, which allows you to mirror your PC's screen on the headset. Smart View lets you mirror your phone's or tablet's screen, apps, or media to the Galaxy XR. You can also take calls from your Galaxy phone or tablet to the headset and share the keyboard and mouse with other Samsung devices using Multi Control.
