New leak reveals Galaxy XCover 7 memory and pricing

According to various leaks and rumors, Samsung is working on a new smartphone in the XCover series, which is the company’s lineup for rugged devices, and this upcoming phone is called the Galaxy XCover 7. It is expected to come as a successor to the Galaxy XCover 5, which was launched in 2021. So far, leaks and rumors have revealed the phone’s model number, design, processor, and battery capacity. Today, we have another leak, and this one reveals the display size, memory configurations, and price of the Galaxy XCover 7.

In a post on X (previously known as Twitter), Roland Quandt claims that the Galaxy XCover 7 will have a 6.6-inch display and it will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. According to the tipster, Samsung will price the phone at EUR 400 (approximately $440). That means the Galaxy XCover 7 will feature a much larger screen than the Galaxy XCover 5 and it will cost a lot more than its predecessor (EUR 299 vs EUR 400).

A previous leak had claimed that the Galaxy XCover 7 carries the model number SM-G556B. The phone’s listing on Geekbench suggested that it features the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. The FCC certification of the device, on the other hand, revealed that it has a 4,000mAh battery, which could be user-removable. Being a rugged phone, it is expected to feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Finally, the Galaxy XCover 7 has received the BIS certification, which hints that the device might launch in India.
